Hey there, I’m Liv!

Iâm blessed to be the wife of my best friend, and weâre dog parents to our sweet little pug Suzy. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, and Iâm an aunt to 10 precious nieces and nephews. (They’re all so cuteâsee their photo below!)
In addition to this blog, I also send out encouraging emails each Thursdayâif you havenât already, you can get in on those here!
My mission here at Liv By Grace is to help encourage and equip you as you daily enter your mission field to proclaim the love of God through the gospel of grace.
When I first started this blog, it was called Liv On A Budget. Kinda cute, right?
I had suddenly quit my job as a certified interpreter for ethical reasons, and we had to buckle down financially in order to make it on just $15,000 a year.
Scrambling for a way to supplement my husbandâs income, I decided to jump on the blogging train and attempt to make a business out of a budgeting blog.
Let me just say, the Lord had other plans!
Writing about budgeting just didnât come naturally for me, and as for turning it into a money-making mega-blog… đ
You see, God was calling me to trust in Him to be my ultimate providerâsomething Iâd never really done before.
I was convicted that my focus should not be on trying to create an income from blogging, but to be obedient to the Lordâs call to share the gospel.
I tend to get very comfortably set in my ways and averse to change. Not a good combination when you throw in a dash of stubbornness and a giant heap of introversion. Lol.
While I had changed from Liv On A Budget to Liv By Grace within a few short months, it took me much longer to fully submit to the Lordâs direction for my blog.

After years of slowly placing more of myself in the Lordâs hands, I began to share the gospel with the people I interacted with in my daily life: students I worked with as an interpreter, telemarketers, nurses, neighbors, and people I encountered online.
Let me tell ya, my friend, it was NOT easy. Iâm very shy and quiet, so to put myself out there in fear of rejection or not having all the answers was so very scaryâbut not as frightening as letting an opportunity slip by to warn someone about the reality of hell.
Iâd done that too many times before, and that gut-wrenching feeling and weight on my conscience were much worse. I hated thatâout of fearâI was choosing to quench Godâs Holy Spirit. đ
As a born-again Christian yet painfully shy introvert, sharing the gospel was something I had avoided for much of my life. I never felt ready, and the fear of failure and rejection was intense.
I’ve since gone on to share the gospel with more people than I ever imagined, and I want to help you step out and experience non-scary, successful evangelism encounters, too.
If a quiet, shy little introvert like me can boldly proclaim the truth of the gospel, I know you can tooâand I’d love to share what I’ve learned with you!
If this is your first visit to Liv By Grace, Iâd love to share a bit more about myself and my testimony so you can get to know me. If you’d like to hear my salvation testimony, you can find that here.
With the help of the LordâWho is able to do far beyond what I could ever ask or think!âI’ve been able to overcome obstacles that would have been impossible without God’s grace.
I struggled with anorexia and came out victorious, I quit my job when I couldn’t afford to, I survived the loss of my dear mom without losing my joy, and I continue to thrive despite living with chronic illness.
And most importantly, I’ve been able to rest in God’s promises that He will never leave me, that He’ll provide for me as I obey Him, and that His Word will not return void as I step out in faith to share the gospel and encourage others to do the same.

What Liv By Grace is all about
Now that Iâve introduced myself, I want to make sure you know that Liv By Grace is NOT all about meâthis blog exists as a resource, encouragement, and community for YOU.
My mission is to come alongside you in your daily life, encouraging and equipping you to successfully share the gospel (in non-scary ways!) through the proclamation of Godâs love and grace.
Liv By Grace does this by providing solutions and tools for just that: living by grace. That is, resting in Godâs provision as we obey His Word to lovingly share the truth of sin and hell with our neighbors, and the blessed hope of salvation available through Christ Jesus. đ
In sharing the gospel, as well as in encouraging others to do so, Iâve found that born-again believers are usually at 1 of 3 places when it comes to sharing their faith in obedience to Christâs Great Commission.
Take a look and see which of the 3 descriptions below best fits where you are right now and check out my best resources below!
Everyoneâs already heard of Jesus and Christianity, so why do we need to share?
Believe it or not, not everyone has heard of Jesus, and many who have heard of Him donât really know Who He is. When it comes to someoneâs eternity, itâs better to be safe than sorry and share the hope of the gospel everywhere we go! đ
But I thought evangelism is for missionaries, right? Because thatâs definitely not me.
The truth is that sharing the gospel is the responsibility and mission of every born-again believerâwherever we happen to be, that is our mission field. And donât worry, itâs much more simple than becoming a foreign missionary! đ
I know I should be sharing the gospel, but I just donât know how. Where do I start?
Trust me, itâs much easier than you think. It takes some preparation, but you donât have to know all the answers or feel 100% readyâJesus is your âReady!â Letâs check out some how-toâs and encouraging examples to get you started! đ
I also have a Freebie Library on the blog, so if you’d like to take advantage of those resources, you can enter the library here and grab whatever you like! đ

P.S. If youâre not a Christian but somehow found yourself here, it is by the grace of God. If you’ve never had anyone share with you the straight truth about who Jesus is and how you can know Him personally, or the no-holds-barred truth about what exactly happens after you die, this is for you.đ
P.P.S. If youâve been religious or have identified as a Christian, but youâre not sure if youâve ever been born again, this is for you.đ
