Hi there, I’m Liv!Trying to handle the challenges of everyday life while still living within your means and staying organized can be tough.
And—we’re among friends, so let’s be real—keeping it all centered on the foundation of faith in Christ isn’t always super easy.
You work so hard to get everything done, but you’re constantly battling overwhelm and disorganization. You try your best, but it’s like you never see any progress, much less have a sense of accomplishment.
And then there’s your financial situation. You definitely worry about that one. Your spending is far from under control, and deep down, it makes you feel guilty. You know you should have a system for keeping track of your money, but you don’t really know how or where to start.
And even though you know that God’s in control, you can’t help worrying about everything. You want to give this stuff over to the Lord, but it’s so hard not to worry! You want to grow in faith, but you feel like you can never do enough, or never be good enough.
It seems like your faith’s too small, life’s too big, and your bank account’s too pitiful to ever accomplish anything.Does any of this sound familiar?
Then Friend, you’re in the right place. 🙂 And I’m so glad you’re here! Not too long ago, all of those sad, yucky things I just described? They were my reality too.
I had no real vision for my life, my spending was all over the place, we had no budget whatsoever, we ate out all the time, and there was no actual productivity anywhere to be found. I was feeling condemned, unaware of how much God loves me, of how completely I’m forgiven, and I was looking to myself for my identity instead of looking to Jesus. I was truly discouraged thinking that life would never change, but too afraid to do anything about it myself.
Then it happened. I found myself in a situation at work where I was bound by professional ethics, and suddenly there was no choice but to leave my job. So I came home. And I haven’t looked back.
Let me get extra real: my husband and I (and our Squishy Pug) are living on less than $16,000 a year. Successfully. Debt-free.
You see, my dream has always been to be a homemaker, but it was just impossible for us to live on one income. We needed my job, and I knew I would never be able to quit.
Boy, have I never been happier to be so wrong about something! Because now I am a homemaker, and we are living on one income. I’m actually living the dream that I never thought possible.
All because I was determined to make a success of budgeting and frugal living so that my dream could become reality. And through that grit I developed savings and cost-cutting strategies, tried-and-true budgeting solutions, and productivity habits that work.
Through my journey of quitting my job when I thought we couldn’t afford to, I’ve learned that my job and money do not take care of me, God takes care of me, and He is faithful to provide.
His grace combined with intentional, frugal living is the only way that I’m able to live a life of financial and spiritual victory. And I’m so excited to share these solutions with you!
So let me ask you, do you want to stop feeling guilty about your finances?
Are you looking for ways to cut spending and live frugally?
Are you ready to start living by God’s grace and not by your account balance?
Do you want freedom from the mentality of never being enough?

More about me
Besides living the frugal life, some of my Julie Andrews-style favorite things include spending time with my family, singing, reading, watching I Love Lucy, playing Mario, and blogging.
I’m a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and pug mom. I know I’m not perfect, but I also know I’m forgiven, all because of the love and grace of my Lord Jesus.
I’m addicted to chocolate and Duck Dynasty. I could sit for hours marveling at God’s amazing creation that is our world, and I’m especially distracted by stars in the night sky. Oh, and I love laughter, rainy days, and being cozy. (Cozy is pretty much my favorite.)
Keeping it all too real
So if I’m completely honest, I’ve definitely been through some tough times, but praise God, He always sustains me. My husband and I have had struggles that I know you can relate to, like student loans, medical debt, and job loss. But now, because of budgeting and cost-cutting strategies, we’re successfully living on less than $16,000 a year, and we’ve been debt-free for 7 years.
I’ve gone from stressed and overwhelmed to accomplishing things through creating simple, actionable steps to identify my priorities and change my habits. I’ve learned to embrace the fact that progress > perfection, and accepting this has helped me actually get stuff done. It’s so freeing!
And then there’s the miracle that is God’s grace that delivered me 5 years ago during the absolute most sorrowful time in my life. I lost my sweet mama to cancer. But by accepting God’s healing grace for my heart, I’ve gone from grief to joy!
I’ve also come out victorious on the other side of an eating disorder. And I’ve gone from feeling condemned and not good enough to realizing I’m fully forgiven by the grace of God, that He loves immeasurably, and that my worth is found in my identity in Christ. Friend, I want this for you too; it’s nothing short of life-changing!
