So what’s this blog about? Why “Liv By Grace,” what’s the story?
Well, because I’m Liv. By grace. (If you want to read more about what that means in my personal life, check out my testimony here.)
The reason why I started Liv By Grace is because, just a few years ago, I finally started to understand the grace of God. I realized that my worth is found in Jesus and what He did for me at the cross and the empty tomb.
And I want nothing more than to bring Him glory and to share the good news and freedom that He offers.
I thought I was kinda worthless, to be honest. I mean, I’ve been a believer for many years, but I didn’t understand how much God loves me. Little ol’ me! And it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with Him and the goodness of Who He is. And the very fact that the God of the universe chose to create me? It’s mind-blowing!
And I want this life-changing revelation so much for you too! To understand how fully you are accepted and loved by God. How free you are to live by grace through the gift of salvation in His Son, Jesus.
I think I can best sum up the reason behind the name Liv By Grace by sharing some lyrics from a song by Philip Bliss:
Free from the law—oh, happy condition!
Jesus hath bled, and there is remission.
Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall,
But grace hath redeemed us once for all.Once for all—oh, sinner, receive it!
Once for all—oh, brother, believe it!
Cling to the cross, the burden will fall,
Christ hath redeemed us once for all!
And that’s pretty much it. I had assurance that I was saved, but I didn’t realize that Christ has truly and completely set me free—from death and much more, and how to walk in that. I’m understanding more and more of how to live by grace every day, and I’m excited to share it with you!
I’m also super passionate about saving money, budgeting, and living a simple lifestyle. So many people today are struggling with money problems, and God wants so much more for us!
Our provision can be found in Him alone, and submitting our finances to Him is a huge part of our spiritual growth. I finally managed to let go of my vice-like mental grip on money and give it to the Lord. And by the grace of God and some savvy budgeting, my husband and I are now living on just over $15,000 a year, debt-free.
And my dear friend, I want you to realize the fullness of God’s love so that you can live by grace too, in all areas of life!
I’d love to share a bit more so you can get to know me better. You can find out more about me here, and if you’d like to hear my personal testimony, you can find that here.
