Whether you’re looking for a recipe for stuffing, sides, dip, or dessert, I’ve got you covered with this selection of awesome and easy Thanksgiving recipes!
Twice-Baked Sweet Potatoes
These sweet potatoes from Living Well Spending Less are simply mouth-watering. And depending on your feeling about savory versus sweet, they could serve as a side or a dessert.
Can you imagine having your own personal, mini sweet potato casserole? Because that’s basically what we’re talking about here.
I also love the fact that you can prep them ahead of time so there’s less to do on Thanksgiving day!
And if you’re a fan of marshmallow on your sweet potatoes, you don’t want to miss this one. Check out the recipe here:
Instant Pot Cinnamon Applesauce
If you’ve never had homemade applesauce, let me assure you that the pre-packaged stuff from the store labeled “applesauce” can’t even begin to compare with the homemade version. It’s a whole different, delicious animal!
And I dare you to try and find an easier recipe than this one from Mad in Crafts!
This recipe uses a pressure cooker, so it makes for incredibly short work. However, if you don’t have a pressure cooker, you could easily use a slow cooker instead.
And if you’re looking for a gift to bring your Thanksgiving host or hostess, this would be perfect!
Easy Green Bean Casserole Side Dish with French Fried Onions
Okay, this is my go-to dish for every single family gathering. I just can’t help myself. It’s super easy, it’s quick, and it’s delicious. It’s a staple in our family for sure!
This recipe from Crafting a Family is the perfect recipe for your Thanksgiving get-together if you’re looking for something simple and foolproof.
And green bean casserole is so delish that I really don’t understand how these few ingredients can come together into something so tasty. (It’s those French Fried Onions, who am I kidding.)
If you haven’t had this dish lately, don’t hesitate to add it to your Thanksgiving table this year!
Oven-Roasted Asparagus
This one comes from The Pioneer Woman. Need I say more?
Seriously, I never knew how much I love asparagus until I tried this recipe. It’s my favorite of her recipes to date, and I think that’s really saying something.
It’s the most simple and quick side dish and yet it’s absolutely scrumptious. My husband and I have this one often.
This recipe has minimal ingredients, but they make all the difference and transform this much-dreaded vegetable of my childhood into something delicious.
Like the applesauce recipe above, this recipe with fresh asparagus is a world away from canned asparagus. So if you’ve only ever had the stuff in a can, give this a try because you might actually like asparagus after all!
No-Knead Dinner Rolls
The Pioneer Woman strikes again. Can you blame me? I didn’t think so. I’ll be making these rolls ASAP. They look buttery and fluffy and amazing.
I’ve been making homemade bread for a while, but I’ve never made rolls before. They seemed a little intimidating to me for some reason. But this recipe that doesn’t even require kneading? I’m in!
Also, they look really cute.
Another perk? You can prepare the dough ahead of time and then pop your rolls into the oven on Thanksgiving day so they’ll come out fresh and warm.
Easy Stuffing Recipe
Homemade is just better. There, I said it. The only problem is that when I think “homemade” I generally tend to think “hard.” Not so with this recipe from Spend with Pennies!
This one gets me excited because homemade dressing is my absolute favorite Thanksgiving dish. And this recipe only takes 15 minutes to prep. That’s crazy!
I’ve never made dressing before (do you call it stuffing or dressing?), so something labeled “easy” is essential for me.
So if you don’t want to pass up dressing this year but you’re sick of that stuff out of a box, give this recipe a go!

Simple Sheet Pan Roasted Carrots
Growing up, I was not a fan of cooked carrots. They were always too sweet for my liking. So I just assumed I hated carrots. Wrong.
Once I had carrots cooked in the crockpot with roast beef, I was a goner. (I still love them even better than the roast itself.)
This recipe from The Chunky Chef will help you get that flavorful, roasted-ness into carrots with a Thanksgiving flair.
She uses basic seasoning which complements the carrots’ own natural sweetness.
I think when I make these I’m going to use regular carrots instead of baby carrots and just slice them up. But if you’re crunched for time, baby carrots make it super quick for sure.
Cottage Cheese Jello Salad
This sounds disgusting. But trust me when I say that it’s amazing. You’ve gotta try this recipe from Creative Homemaking.
I’ve been eating this since as far back as I can remember into my little childhood memory, and it’s one of my top favs of all time.
My family only ever had this at Thanksgiving for some reason, but it’s super simple and would work well for any occasion (much like all the other recipes listed here).
My mom always used cherry Jello (or was it strawberry? It was always a debate, lol) and pineapple for the fruit. And it’s SO GOOD.
This is another one of those dishes that could pass for either a side or a dessert. I really wanna make it this year! I haven’t had it in so long. Now let’s see… should I get cherry or strawberry Jello? I think I’m gonna go with cherry.
Easiest Garlic Mashed Potatoes
My aunt always made the best mashed potatoes, all with just butter, milk, and salt & pepper.
Me, on the other hand, I do okay-ish. But my potatoes just aren’t the same as hers for some reason. (Why does it always work like that?)
So for people like me, we need a little extra somethin’-somethin’ to get our potatoes on board the flavor train, and these garlic mashed potatoes from Pinch of Yum are the perfect solution.
And? In a slow cooker? Yes, please.
Plus the other ingredients she’s got in this bad boy… I need these potatoes. Now.
Classic Southern Deviled Eggs
My favorite thing about this recipe from Southern Bite is that it involves dill pickle relish.
Lots of recipes I’ve seen for deviled eggs call for sweet relish, but I maintain a hard no on that one. In fact, I’ve even seen ones without any relish at all, and to me, that’s not a real deviled egg.
I feel like deviled eggs are something people think of more around Easter—hello, eggs—but this is just a good ol’ dish for any time of year!
It seems to be one of those kinds of sides that nobody thinks about much, until that one time when someone brings them and everybody’s like, “Oh my gosh, deviled eggs!!” ? (Insert om-nom sounds here.)
So why not be that super-hero person who shows up to Thanksgiving dinner with a delectable tray of these bad boys!
Hot Spinach Dip
Spinach. Dip.
I think that about does it really.
Except to say that this is a great way to get your kids (or anybody for that matter) to eat their veg. I hated spinach growing up, but if my mama had plonked a dish of this cheesy goodness down on the table, it would’ve become my new favorite vegetable. Just sayin’.
So without further ado, grab this yummy recipe from Dinner at the Zoo below!
Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies
Check out this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction! This is my favorite dessert of all time. I’m not even kidding. It even beats out Puppy Chow, or as we used to call them, Muddy Buddies.
These things should come with a warning label though, so here you go:
WARNING: Making these delicious chocolate cookies for your Thanksgiving gathering this year might just get you suckered into making them for every holiday or event from here to eternity. Also, they might not even make it out of your kitchen.
I make these morsels all the time. My husband and I love them, a little too much probably.
In fact, I’ve even eaten them for breakfast the next morning with a glass of milk. Ssshhh.
After all, they’re full of oats and peanut butter, which is more in the way of whole grains and protein than I can say for a donut or croissant. So there’s that at least. “Breakfast protein bar.” Yes! That’ll work. Lol.
