How to evangelize on Halloween (2 fun ways!)
Yes, Christians can participate in Halloween without celebrating it
Halloween is here again already, but what does that mean for us as Christians? Should we celebrate or not? Is it okay to dress up? Is trick-or-treating considered participating in something evil, or is it all in good fun? These are all valid and complex questions, and I do my best to answer some of them below.

Oct. 31 is National Evangelism Day
Did you know that October 31st is also another holiday? It’s National Evangelism Day!
It’s the perfect day for it because people will be coming to our doors to receive a sweet treat from us, and what could be sweeter than the good news of the gospel?
Because regardless of what day it is, nothing should ever stop us from sharing the love of God through the gospel of grace! 🌟
For the last several years, we’ve had quite a few trick-or-treaters, and we’ve run out of our goodie bags each year, and what a wonderful thing that is, because each goodie bag contains candy AND gospel tracts! Here’s what ours look like this year:

There’s the million dollar tract for kids, a pair of optical illusion cards, and a smartphone tract.
The neighborhood kids are always excited to grab these goodie bags every year!
If you want to stock up for next year, you can find them in the Christian Halloween Outreach H.Q. or at LivingWaters.com.
If you’re in need of last-minute tracts, have no fear, I’ve got you covered with free print & fold Halloween tracts—print as many as you want, cut across the center and fold, that’s it. Grab them below!

Remember, answering the door + sharing the gospel ≠ participating in Halloween. It is the opposite.
So when little kids and their parents come to our doors, we can either be generous with a treat and a gospel tract, or we can hide with our lights off. But Christ says to let our light SHINE.
So be ready tonight to answer the door and share the good news through treats and tracts, shining a beacon of truth this Halloween! 🌟

What about Trunk-or-Treat?
If your church participates in a trunk-or-treat event, consider printing and handing out these tracts along with the candy.
I’ve seen and heard about so many churches using trunk-or-treat as a way to “reach out” to the community, which means they’re trying to get people to notice their church and hopefully start attending.
But many of these events merely pass out candy, missing a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel. 😢 Can you imagine?
When that’s the case, it truly is the same as what the world is doing, and those churches become part of the celebration of Halloween as there is nothing to set them apart. What a waste!
Each child who stops by a church trunk-or-treat should NEVER leave without a gospel tract.
If a church is putting on a trunk-or-treat that doesn’t include the gospel message, that is a huge problem, but thankfully there’s any easy fix!
Just download these print & fold gospel tracts for your trunk-or-treat so you don’t miss an opportunity to share the hope of Christ at your church event.
It’s super quick to get these tracts ready to go, so they’re perfect for last-minute prep, and in just a couple minutes you can make sure your church’s event will have a meaningful, ETERNAL impact! 💖

On this Halloween, I encourage you to grab these gospel tracts and pass them out—it’s an easy, quick, and free way to share the gospel with those little ones who need it most.
Be bold and try it, and watch the kids be happy to get something special. And just think, maybe they or even their parents might come to know Christ because of you! Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
It’s a great way to get your feet wet in evangelism, and it’s perfect for those of us who are shy… Just drop the tracts into their treat sacks, pray for each kiddo who receives one, and—even though you might not see the results—know that you’ve made a HUGE difference!
And all for the glory of God. Let His light shine every day, including October 31st! 🌟
